On July 19, fox business channel reported that the scam of impersonating Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, on social media is on the rise. Accordingly, Malwarebytes labs issued a warning through its blog that spammers and fraudsters who send spam to get money are using Elon Musk’s reputation to cheat. According to the Federal Trade Commission, over the past six months $2 million worth of cryptocurrency has been sent to fraudsters posing as Elon Musk through gift fraud.
